My gallbladder removal surgery took quite awhile to get started, but the results far exceeded my expectations. With the high-tech robotic proceedure, I had far less than expected discomfort immediately after the procedure and in the days following. I had little bloating, which was certainly expected, and virtually no tenderness at the four "puncture" sites.As an qualification, I had the gallbladder attack about 2 months before surgery and had a drain tube in place while the gallbladder settled down and eliminated the infection. That was only a nuisance. I believe that was the main reason that the surgery went so well.

I had multiple surgeries and Dr. Martin was always very friendly and clearly has loads of solid experience. I hope I won’t need more treatment but if it’s required, I’d be confident that Dr. Martin could do great once again.

The first time I met Dr. Martin was in the emergency room at Riverview Health Noblesville. As a Minnesotan, he walked in wearing a Univ of MN lanyard and I liked him immediately. For the 12 days I was hospitalized, 2 cancelled surgeries and a successful surgery, I have come to admire Dr. Martin. He is extremely nice and patient. He listens attentively and included me in his decision making process on treatments. I felt respected. I would highly recommend Dr. John Martin to anyone requiring general surgical care. His combination of technical excellence, clear communication, and professional integrity represents the highest standard of surgical practice.

At 60+ yrs old, I had never had anything more than knee surgery, a decade ago. I was very nervous about hernia surgery. Dr. Martin explained everything to me, spent time answering questions & making sure I was good. The surgery went great. He prepped me well for the recovery period. His bedside manners are superior. If you need hernia surgery, I'd strongly suggest you go check Dr. Martin out. The bonus is he's a nice guy.

The front desk and support folks were just amazing. Friendly, helpful and happy people. Dr. Martin was just amazing. I've never had something like this so well explained. I go in for surgery here in about an hour. My wife and I both know what to expect both during and after. Just an overall great experience. We left happy despite just being told I needed surgery. That says it all.

I can’t say enough good things about my visit. Everything, the friendly efficient receptionist, the medical tech who checked my vitals etc and then Dr. Martin who sets the standard for how doctors should be. Listened, was very clear about what the procedure would involve, welcomed questions, seemed sincerely interested in giving the best care possible. My husband and I recently relocated to Westfield/Noblesville from Indianapolis and we are so impressed with the quality of medical care we’ve experienced with Riverview.
