Miya O Chipka, PA

I chose to practice at Riverview Health because I wanted to work alongside supportive providers and staff within a community health system that all have the same commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care to the local community.

I strive to get my patients involved in every aspect of their care through shared decision-making. I spend as much time as needed with each patient to ensure: that all questions and concerns have been addressed, there is a treatment plan in place, and there is a mutual understanding of expectations and next steps. In addition, I endeavor to deliver holistic care that considers the needs of the whole person and how lifestyle modifications such as nutrition, movement and sleep can affect how our bodily systems function cohesively for optimal health.

I completed my undergraduate degree at Cornell University and my graduate degree at Eastern Michigan University. In addition to being a Physician Assistant, I am also a certified CrossFit trainer. I am very active and enjoy all sports, adventures, traveling, and spending time with my husband and our rescue pup.
